Carolyn and her husband were together for five years, married for three. For the last ten months or so of their marriage, Carolyn had accepted that her husband was seeing someone else, not just anyone else but her best friend. The affair had started six months after Carolyn and her husband was married. Her acceptance of the affair was a sign of Carolyn’s lack of self-confidence. Once she found the courage to leave the marriage however she became her own best advocate, her confidence grew and her self-esteem blossomed.
