Radical insecurity is something we're all dealing with now in this new world. Thanks Mandy, Page, and Sophie for this powerful writing.

I love the concept of change as a dance - it puts it in such a fun, playful light. Many of the women I speak to about their divorce say that at first it was painful and devastating and then as they've grappled with the change, they've reinvented themselves and found lives richer than ever before. Why then, are we so resistant to change, I wonder?

Dear Melanie,

Now, more than ever, we are all beginning to understand that the only security can be found in the understanding that change is a dynamic and creative force upon which all of life is based. This awareness, if you believe it in your bones and down to your very toes, can be a great comfort. Thank you for encouraging all of us to dance!

Page and Mandy,

This concept of radical insecurity is one I understand well--even though, after all the years of dancing with it, I still sometimes come to the dance reluctantly. There is no real security out in the world. The only security to be found is within ourselves, and then, only to the extent that we are willing to dance with the moment in a wildly authentic way.

Here's to the dance!
